Baby Jogger City Select 2
The City Select 2 stroller was launched in the summer of 2021, replacing the older City Select and City Select Lux strollers. It has 24 seating options and can convert into triple strollers with the addition of a glider board (second seat and car seat sold separately). The stroller folds 20% smaller than the previous models and weighs just five pounds less. It also has a great range of accessories like a belly bar (included in the Eco Collection version), the second seat, a parent console & handmuff.
The majority of our testers who were parents were impressed by the large storage bin which can accommodate a large amount of equipment. They also appreciated how easily reclined the seats and that there was plenty of legroom for both kids. The brake pedal is easy to access and can be operated using one hand. While the stroller is larger and more difficult to maneuver, it is worth the extra space for parents who appreciate spacious strollers.
Another thing we like is that the City Select 2 is compatible with Baby Jogger, Britax, Graco, Chicco and Maxi-Cosi infant car seats (adapters sold separately). This means that you can use a single or a double stroller for your child from birth until well into toddlerhood.
The stroller isn't inexpensive, but it's likely to be the only stroller you'll have to purchase so if you're able to afford it we think it's worth the cost. Particularly when you consider the top quality and sturdy construction. The finish is gorgeous and the connections to the fabric are strong without rumpled. The 5-point harness snaps easily together, and has a few adjustment options and is comfortable for children of all sizes. The seat cover is machine washable in cold water and most test subjects said it was easy to take off and reattach.
Delta Children LX Side by Side
The Delta Children LX Side-by-Side is an excellent choice if you're looking for a double stroller. It's easy to move and fits into tight spaces. This stroller weighs 20 pounds and has seats that hold children as much as 50 pounds each. Its large canopy protects against sun, wind, and rain, and the seats recline to ensure kids' comfort. The stroller is shorter than the majority of others in our tests and opens to a 29-inch width which allows it to fit into the standard doorways of 30 inches.
This product earned a low grade for its ease of use in our test, but that's partly because it's so bare-bones: There are no storage bins or deep recline in the seats, and the only parent cup holder is a tiny plastic container that sits on the handlebars. It comes with a 5-point safety harness that has double-rethread straps that are easier to adjust than the straps found on other strollers.
In the course of testing, we evaluated the ease of being able to turn around, fold, and move the strollers. The ability to fold and unfold is one of the most important features of strollers for travel because they typically have limited storage space in the trunk of a car. Products that fold easily and in just a few simple steps, and those with automatic locks scored higher. Strollers that can stand upright when folded and can be folded with one hand also scored well.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the most simple to push and turn, whereas the Mountain Buggy Nano takes a bit more effort to control but still scores very well in our test. The brand new Delta Children LX Side by Side is extremely light with a folding frame that's almost as compact as some of the best umbrella strollers. Its simple design and affordable price make this a great option for parents who are seeking a travel jogger that is easy to lift, carry, and to store.
